Welcome to Happy Masochist!

Hello everyone and welcome to Happy Masochist! This site came from a desire to share and explore, in a very simple, straight-forward way, the ins and outs of running a small business. I started a business a few years ago with no clue what I was getting into. Along the way I’ve learned and experienced quite a lot and, in hindsight, wish I’d begun writing about it sooner. Be that as it may, I’m here now and hope to give y’all a little insight into what running a small business is like.

Happy Masochist is a straight forward and light-hearted look at owning, running and living with a small design business.

About Me (D. Keith Robinson)

I’ve owned my small business, Seattle-based design agency Blue Flavor, since the Fall of 2005. In that time I've learned quite a bit about running a business and made more than my share of mistakes. I talk about all of that and more here at Happy Masochist. Grab the RSS feed.
